Omar Riaz holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Riaz began his career in education teaching in the School Board of Levy County. After returning to his hometown of Miami, he served as a teacher and as a Reading Coach. Dr. Riaz received his doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Florida International University. He presents at numerous local, state, and international conferences. His publications and research have focused on ethical leadership, servant leadership, and the influence of spirituality in effective leadership practices.
Dr. Riaz has ten years of administrative experience serving as an assistant principal at Seminole Elementary and Shenandoah Elementary. He is excited to serve as the principal of Broadmoor Elementary. Dr. Riaz embraces his role as an advocate for ethical leadership and understands the importance of establishing a moral vision for the global community. He believes that Broadmoor Elementary's purpose is to empower students for life long success.

We strive to provide the best educational experience possible so that our children will thrive both academically and socially. It is my belief that being involved in your child’s education is vital to his/her academic success. I encourage you to see yourselves as active partners in our learning community. There is no doubt that a strong home-school partnership will enhance and strengthen your child’s learning and leave an indelible mark on their education.
